When your Plan B becomes your Plan A

A couple of years ago, I decided that I needed to look for a Plan B as I watched the business I worked for go consistently downhill.

Not only was the business in a decline but my boss was the kind of employer who only said something to you if he saw you doing something he didn’t like.

There was no option for advancement or improvement. He didn’t offer encouragement or training.

When I did something he didn’t like, he’d threaten to fire me.

I worked for this company for 7 years.

At the same time, due to declining health, my husband was unemployable so it was up to me to supplement his retirement income which was about half of what he made while working.

We also had two adult children living at home because they weren’t making enough money to live on their own and one was on disability.

So it was important for me to be able to work.

Well, the inevitable finally happened, I was laid off from my job.

But it was actually a good thing to happen to me.

First of all, the stress of working for a boss who never really appreciated my work was over.

Secondly, I finally have time to work on my Plan B.

My plan B was an online business.

I had already been studying and seeing what others were doing to make money online.  I had enrolled in a program that was promising and could feasibly make me the kind of money I needed to make.

I am now a full-time internet marketer and am enjoying every minute of it.

It gives me freedom, confidence, and the resources I need.

I highly recommend it to others and would be happy to help you shorten your learning curve by supplying right now what it took me almost 2 years to learn.

I want you to succeed and enjoy the freedom I now enjoy.

Yours in Success,

It’s called “Attraction”

I just finished talking with a successful online marketer in the UK.  He told me that there are too many people who quit before they have really even begun.

Online marketing is a real job with real responsibilities.

You have an obligation to the people who buy your product or opportunity.  You have an obligation to provide them with the information they need to also be successful.

It’s not about YOU making money, it’s about providing others what they need.

When you provide service to others the rest follows.

Some call that “attraction marketing”.

When people see you as their go-to person, you will create a loyal following.  They will see you as honest and a person they can trust.

It’s no good getting traffic to a web site unless you plan to engage with those prospects.

There used to be a telephone commercial that had the theme, “reach out and touch someone”.

That should be a daily mantra for marketers.

All people are connected in some way in this world.  You can have a meaningful connection when you seek to serve the people with whom you connect.

There is a plan for online marketers who want to succeed. It involves people.

I hope this gives you some ideas.

Have a successful day,

Don’t let discouragement destroy your dreams

It’s a great day today!

I thought I’d share with you something to help you with your mindset.

One of my favorite motivational authors is the great Napoleon Hill who wrote Think and Grow Rich, the all-time best in the industry.

In his book he tells the story of a Mr. Darby who dug a gold mine in Colorado.  Darby got the necessary equipment and began digging. He initially found a vein of gold and had high hopes of regaining his investment in the equipment but alas the vein of gold ran out. After several attempts to regain the vein, Darby packed up and left the claim.

Darby’s equipment was sold to a “junk” dealer but this man took up where Darby left off and did some recalculations. Darby had quit just three feet shy of the richest gold discovery in Colorado.

There are many reasons why we quit before we succeed.

Sometimes we get discouraged and just throw in the towel.

Sometimes life gets in the way.  Things happen to people and families that can throw us off the track of our goals.

Sometimes we just need a mentor to help us through the rough patches.

Discouragement is probably the biggest killer of dreams there is.

A person should recognize it for what it is and squelch it before it takes over.

Napoleon Hill says, “Before success comes in any man’s life, he is sure to meet with much temporary defeat, and, perhaps, some failure. When defeat overtakes a man, the easiest and most logical thing to do is to quit. And that’s exactly what most men do.”

Men who have achieved the greatest success came, “one step beyond the point at which defeat had overtaken them.”

I hope you will take one more step when you feel defeated.

Yours in Success,

Anita Hales

I Lost My Job!

Well, it’s true.  My boss dropped by my desk and told me they couldn’t afford to keep me on.  So I packed up my things and left.

Then I found out he gave my job to his son.  Pretty crappy eh?

But you know what?  This is the opportunity I have been waiting for for a long time.

Now I can focus on what I really want to achieve.

I’ve wanted to do a home-based business for a long time and now I have the time to do it as well as the motivation.

It just so happens that I have been putting things in place for the last year to make it happen.

I’m really excited.

I’ve got some excellent business partners and knowledge and pretty much everything to go full blast.

I can see clearly now.

If you would love to join me in this journey, I’d be happy to put you on my team.  We have a great bunch of online marketers to work with.

I met several of them at the Home Business Summit last month.

In the words of Darth Vader, “Join me, and I will complete your training. With our combined strength, we can end this destructive conflict and bring order to the galaxy.”
